These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TailorCV at https://tailorcv.in (the “Service”), operated by the team behind tailorcv.in. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract. You represent that information you provide is accurate and that you will comply with applicable laws.
2. The Service
TailorCV provides AI-assisted résumé analysis, ATS scoring, tailoring to job descriptions, template-based HTML output, and PDF export (where technically available). Features, credit costs, and availability may change without notice.
Output is generated automatically and may contain errors. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and submitting any résumé or application materials. We do not guarantee interviews, offers, or ATS passage.
3. Accounts
You may sign in using supported OAuth providers (e.g. Google, GitHub). You are responsible for safeguarding access to your account and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly via Email contact@tailorcv.in or use our contact form if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. Credits and payments
Certain features consume credits purchased through the Service. Prices, pack sizes, and per-action costs are shown at checkout and in-product. All sales are final except where required by law or explicitly stated otherwise. See our Cancellation and Refund and Shipping and Exchange policies.
Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g. Razorpay, Cashfree, PayPal). Your use of those services is also subject to their terms. Failed checkout attempts do not create a charge or credit balance; see the Refund Policy for duplicate or erroneous charges. Disputed charges may result in suspension of credits or access until resolved.
We may offer promotional credits, signup bonuses, or custom amounts. Abuse of promotions (including duplicate accounts to claim bonuses) may result in forfeiture of credits and account termination.
Referral program*
TailorCV may offer a referral program that rewards eligible users with credits for use inside the Service. Unless we state otherwise in writing, the current program works as follows:
- When a new user signs up using your valid referral link, you receive 5 referral credits and the referred friend receives 5 referral credits (in addition to 5 standard signup credits for new accounts).
- Milestone bonuses may apply when you reach referral count thresholds, for example: 3 signups → 20 bonus credits; 5 signups → 40 bonus credits; 10 signups → 100 bonus credits.
- Referral credits are promotional, non-transferable, and usable only for eligible features within TailorCV.
- A “successful referral” means a new, unique account that completes signup through your link and is not fraudulent, duplicate, or self-referral.
We may change credit amounts, milestones, eligibility, or discontinue the program at any time. Abuse (fake accounts, self-referrals, automation, or circumventing limits) may result in forfeiture of referral credits and account suspension.
* Referral rewards are issued as in-product credits. Milestone benefits labelled “premium” or similar may be delivered as bonus credits if a separate premium tier is not available. The credit amounts shown above reflect current program settings; these values are subject to change at any time. The version in effect at the time of the qualifying signup or milestone applies. Referral statistics shown in your account display counts only and do not include referred users’ names or email addresses.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or harmful content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
- Attempt to bypass credit limits, authentication, or security measures
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the Service without permission
- Use the Service to build a competing product using our outputs at scale
- Submit content you do not have the right to use or that violates third-party rights
6. Your content
You retain ownership of résumé and job-related content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service, including through AI subprocessors as described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit User Content and that doing so does not violate any agreement or law.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, design, branding, and templates (except your User Content), is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials except as permitted by these Terms or with written consent.
Tailored output is provided for your personal or internal business use in connection with job applications. Template designs remain our property or that of respective licensors.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE OPERATION.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, pose a security risk, or for operational reasons. Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) will survive termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
13. Changes
We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version on this page. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
14. Merchant
The Service and payment transactions on https://tailorcv.in are provided by SHADAB EQBAL (“Merchant”), trading as TailorCV.
