This Privacy Policy describes how TailorCV (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated at https://tailorcv.in, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our résumé tailoring, ATS scanning, and related services (the “Service”).

1. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive information made available by that provider, such as your name, email address, profile picture, and provider identifier. We use this to create and manage your account and credit balance.
Content you provide
To provide tailoring and ATS features, you may upload or paste résumé text, job descriptions, and related materials (“User Content”). We process this content with automated systems, including third-party AI services, to generate analyses, scores, tailored résumés, and HTML/PDF outputs.
Payment information
Purchases of credits are processed by third-party payment providers (e.g. Cashfree, PayPal). We do not store full card or bank credentials. We may receive transaction identifiers, amounts, and payment status from those providers.
Technical and usage data
We automatically collect information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, session identifiers, and error logs. This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.
2. How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate you and manage your account and credits
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Run ATS scans, AI tailoring, and PDF/HTML export
- Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights
3. AI and third-party processing
User Content may be sent to third-party large language model (LLM) providers and infrastructure hosts to perform analysis and generation. We select providers that offer reasonable contractual protections where available. Do not submit information you are not permitted to share or that you consider highly sensitive unless necessary for your use case.
We also use hosting, database, analytics, and payment vendors who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.
4. Data retention
Session data (résumé text, job descriptions, tailored outputs) is stored so you can return to your workspace. You may delete session content using in-product purge controls where available. Account data is retained while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, or dispute purposes.
We may retain anonymized or aggregated data that does not identify you.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers who assist in operating the Service
- With payment processors to complete transactions
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of TailorCV, our users, or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where required)
6. Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, store session tokens, and remember preferences. You can clear these via your browser settings; doing so may sign you out or reset local session state.
7. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

9. International transfers
